Winter Classical Music Concert -- March 8th / 4 PM

The March concert is sure to chase the winter blues away as your Toccoa Symphony Orchestra performs all three movements of "Summer" -- from Vivaldi's "Seasons Concerti". Special guest and Eastman Conservatory trained violinist, Benjamin Kronk,  joins the Orchestra for a chamber-style and "un-plugged" performance of this much beloved composition .

The Orchestra will also perform Tchaikovsky's Symphony 6, movements 2 and 3.

This is truly a classical music experience not to be missed!

GRAMMY nominated, Benjamin Kronk is a sought after violinist based out of Chicago. Recently soloing with the Caroga Lake Music Festival, he has also appeared as soloist with the National Repertory Orchestra, and is featured as soloist this season with the Toccoa Symphony Orchestra playing Vivaldi’s Summer.

In 2018, he started the SouthEastern Young Artists (SEYA), a chamber music festival which brings in artists from all over the United States and Canada to North Georgia, while finishing his Master’s of Music at Mcgill University. He currently works in Chicago, regularly playing with the Chicago Philharmonic, and actively performing with other orchestras in the area including the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra, the Oistrakh Symphony and the Northbrook Symphony.

Benjamin has attended some of the most prestigious summer festivals including the Caroga Lake Music Festival, the Colorado College Summer Music Festival, the National Repertory Orchestra, the National Orchestra Institute, the Prague Summer Nights Festival, and the Castleman Quartet Program. These festivals have allowed him to play alongside colleagues in the Metropolitan Opera, the Seattle Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Cavani Quartet, the Silk Road Ensemble, the Callisto Quartet, the Omer Quartet, and the KASA Quartet.

Benjamin has also been awarded contracts with the Lincoln Center Stage. Benjamin worked on the GRAMMY-nominated 2017 album “American Classics” with the National Orchestra Institute was directed by David Allan Miller. He earned his undergraduate at the Eastman School of Music ‘17, and his master’s from Mcgill University ‘19. He has studied with some of the best pedagogues including Juliana Athayde, Alex Read, Charles Castleman, Steve Rose, Ivan Zenaty, Joseph Spacek, Axel Strauss, Andrew Wan, and Gilles Henry.
